Lymphatic drainage is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions :

• Fever

• Active infections (bacterial, viral or fungal)

• Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or suspicion of blood clot

• Inflammatory diseases (during acute flare-ups)

• Heart or kidney disease

• Cancer or suspected malignant tumors

• Severe autoimmune disorders

• Severe or contagious skin conditions

• Pregnancy (not recommended during the first 12 weeks)

In the following cases, written approval from your doctor may be required before treatment:

• Recent surgery

• High blood pressure or diabetes (especially if not well-controlled)

• Blood clotting disorders (e.g. previous thrombosis or phlebitis)

• Hyperthyroidism
